Tears of a Dragon

I did a remake of a song called "Tears of a Dragon" that I love that goes back to 1994. It was written and recorded by Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden and appeared on his solo album, Balls to Picasso. He was an influence of mine in my early days when I bought Maiden's “The Number of the Beast” in 1982.

Doing the song sort of just happened as I was originally only browsing karaoke tracks online to play around with and sing to for fun at home in my studio. Surprisingly, I found this particular backing track that was recorded by a full-on rock band (unfortunately unknown) and bought it. I started doing my thing and before I knew it, got fully immersed in the flow of background vocal ideas, etc. and really had such a good time doing it. When I was done, I honestly didn't know what to do with it. I didn't have an engineer or anyone to help me so I tried to mix it the best I could myself, which I wasn't very confident with, in fact, I sat on it for a while after I was done as I wasn't sure if it was professional enough. But after some encouragement, I finally decided to put it up on YouTube and Facebook anyway and got a great response from my friends and followers. Thank you all so much, I'm so glad you liked it!. And thank you, Mr. Bruce Dickinson for writing such a good song.
