Tears of a Dragon

I did a remake of a song called "Tears of a Dragon" that I love that goes back to 1994. It was written and recorded by Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden and appeared on his solo album, Balls to Picasso. He was an influence of mine in my early days when I bought Maiden's “The Number of the Beast” in 1982.

Doing the song sort of just happened as I was originally only browsing karaoke tracks online to play around with and sing to for fun at home in my studio. Surprisingly, I found this particular backing track that was recorded by a full-on rock band (unfortunately unknown) and bought it. I started doing my thing and before I knew it, got fully immersed in the flow of background vocal ideas, etc. and really had such a good time doing it. When I was done, I honestly didn't know what to do with it. I didn't have an engineer or anyone to help me so I tried to mix it the best I could myself, which I wasn't very confident with, in fact, I sat on it for a while after I was done as I wasn't sure if it was professional enough. But after some encouragement, I finally decided to put it up on YouTube and Facebook anyway and got a great response from my friends and followers. Thank you all so much, I'm so glad you liked it!. And thank you, Mr. Bruce Dickinson for writing such a good song.

It is a great honor for me to have been asked to sing with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and the Athens State Orchestra with Uli Jon Roth at the CLASSIC ROCK 3 concerts on the 17th and 18th of September, 2019 at the Acropolis Theater in Athens, Greece. I haven't played in Greece since the Uli Jon Roth "Under a Dark Sky Tour" in 2008 and so I'm really looking forward to it. Hope to see you there if you can make it!

Got a little bit of news! The original members of SAHARA (Liz Vandall, Phil Woodward, Diane Arens, Orion Lindemann and Kevin Millar) have reunited and have signed a record deal with 20th Century Music to re-release their 1992 debut album, "Going Crazy" along with bonus material. It's still in the early planning stages, but we're all very excited. Rehearsals have begun... More info in the coming months.
